Notice of Rent Increase
NOTICE OF RENT INCREASE EFFECTIVE November 1, 2022
As you are aware, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) subsidizes the rent of your apartment through the project-based Section 8 program. Each year Decatur Housing Authority (DHA) makes a formal request to HUD for an increase in the monthly rental rates to cover expenses related to operating and maintaining the community.
This letter serves to inform you that the request to increase the monthly rental rates was recently reviewed and approved by HUD and will become effective as of November 1, 2022 for AWI and AWIII, and December 1, 2022 for AWII. The new Rent Schedule (HUD-Form 92458) which reflects the new monthly rental rates and utility allowances is available for review in the lobby of the Management Office located at 1480 Commerce Drive, Decatur, GA 30030 and a summary of the approved changes are also indicated below.
Please remember that these changes will become effective and applied to each household as of November 1, 2022. Therefore, you will be receiving a notice from management later which will require you to come into the office and sign off on these new amounts.
PLEASE REMEMBER: At this time there is no action required of you. Management will notify you in writing as to when you will need to come into our office and execute the necessary paperwork.
